  • The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-gyu) conducted a campaign from the 23rd to the 24th to promote the Incheon Port to major Chinese cruise operators and travel agencies through the 'Joint Shanghai Cruise Port Sales with Related Agencies' attended by Incheon Metropolitan City and Incheon Tourism Corporation.

  • The Port Sales Team engaged with prominent cruise lines operating from China including MSC Cruises, Blue Dream Cruises, Adora Cruises, Viking Cruises, and Royal Caribbean, as well as travel agencies such as Shanghai Chunqiu International Travel Service, Tianjin Jinyu Cruise Co., Ltd., Wuxi Jiangnan International Travel Agency, and officials from Chinese government agencies and media, to conduct port of call briefing sessions and business consultations.

  • In particular, during the port of call briefing session and corporate presentation, IPA highlighted the strengths of Incheon Port, showcasing features such as cruise infrastructure, boasting the largest cruise dock facility in Korea, cruise tour routes based in Incheon, and diverse tourism elements like guided Incheon City tours. The announcement emphasized that Incheon Port is the optimal destination for the cruise tourism industry.

  • Following this, discussions about future calls at Incheon Port by cruises originating from China took place during individual meetings with Adora Cruise and Viking Cruise, both of which visited Incheon Port this year. To further enhance the attraction of cruises originating from China, promotional efforts were directed toward major Chinese cruise lines and travel agencies, focusing on Incheon region tourism and familiarization tours.

  • An official from Incheon Port Authority stated, "Next year, we plan to actively attract cruises departing from northern China (Qingdao, Tianjin) to visit Incheon Port," and added, "We will strive to attract more cruise operators and tourists from China and contribute to the revitalization of the local economy through continuous cooperation with relevant agencies."
