  • The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-gyu) announced its participation in the "TOC Europe 2024 (Terminal Operator Conference Europe 2024)" held in Rotterdam, Netherlands from July 11 to 13. The event was attended jointly by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and four Port Authorities (PAs), aiming to highlight the strengths and charms of Incheon Port’s hinterland complex.

  • IPA expanded its previous efforts, which focused on attracting logistics companies from the Asian region, to the global stage of this conference with over 4,000 experts in port and cargo supply chains from Europe and all around the world participating. IPA aims to broaden the scope of investment in domestic port hinterland complexes.

  • An exclusive session was first held featuring prominent domestic port experts and professors to highlight the advantages of domestic ports and hinterland complexes, with a focus on smart port development and the unique features of each complex. Subsequently, each port corporation presented its supply plans and occupancy requirements for the new port hinterland complexes, offering detailed explanations and conducting a Q&A session for the participating companies.

  • During this event, Song Eun-seok, Logistics Business Department Manager at Incheon Port Authority, addressed inquiries related to the automation of Incheon Port’s hinterland. He stated, “Incheon Port handles over 15 million e-commerce import and export transactions annually, and to ensure rapid cargo processing, the adoption of automated equipment is actively progressing.” He further elaborated on the second phase of the new supply plans for the Aam Logistics 2 complex.

  • Subsequently, IPA conducted one-on-one business consultations to highlight the advantages of Incheon Port, emphasizing its geographical proximity to the Seoul metropolitan area, port facilities including container and passenger terminals, and new port hinterland complex supply plans. These features position Incheon Port as the prime logistics hub in Northeast Asia and an attractive investment destination.

  • Incheon Port Authority Logistics Business Department Manager Song Eun-seok stated, “This conference provided us with a platform to promote Incheon Port’s hinterland complex and strengthen our global port logistics network,” and added, “We will continue to engage in various promotion activities to raise awareness of Incheon Port as an attractive investment destination and to further revitalize the port hinterland complex.”
