  • The Incheon Port Authority (www.icpa.or.kr, President Lee Kyung-Gyu) announced on the 8th that it achieved the highest rating of “Excellent” in both the “2024 Safe Korea Disaster Response Exercise” and the “2024 Disaster Management Evaluation,” conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, securing two top honors in disaster management.

  • IPA was selected as an exemplary organization in the “2024 Safe Korea Disaster Response Exercise” for its outstanding performance in real-time disaster response led by the President, as well as the seamless coordination across 13 related organizations, demonstrating strong collaborative function.

  • The Ministry of the Interior and Safety's comprehensive disaster management evaluation this year targeted 338 institutions, including 29 central government ministries, 66 public agencies, and 243 local governments. The evaluation assessed the capabilities of relevant institutions across various phases of disaster management, including prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery.

  • As part of the public sector’s road, aviation, and port group, IPA was recognized for its exceptional performance particularly in the areas of the head of the organization's capacity to respond to disaster situations, expanded financial investment plans in disaster safety, enhanced safety management in vulnerable areas, and prompt initial response capabilities in the event of a disaster.

  • Incheon Port Authority President Lee Kyung-Gyu remarked, “This recognition of excellence is the result of the collective efforts of all executives and our employees, who have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety of Incheon Port,” and added, “We will continue to strive to maintain an unwavering disaster response system to respond to any disasters in the future.”
