○ At the meeting, the participants discussed ways to secure additional logistics infrastructure, such as introducing new unloading equipment and storage yards, to respond to the recent trend of a noticeable decrease in the volume of bulk cargo at North Port.
○ In addition, they actively shared the importance of complying with safety regulations, such as having cargo truck drivers wear protective gear on the docks, and discussed measures to thoroughly protect the safety of port workers and users.
○ President Lee Kyung-Gyu of the Incheon Port Authority said, “It is very important to listen to the voices of the field in order to improve the service quality of Incheon Port,” and explained that the port will “actively respond by establishing a regular communication system with the operators to vitalize the North Port bulk terminals.”
